Appearance: clear gold with a moderate white frothy head of good retention. Aroma and taste: pale malt, high quality herbal hop. Medium dry, light to medium bitter. Lingering hoppy ending. Mouth feel: light to medium body, average carbonation. Summary: pretty decent.

0.5l bottle. Pours clear amber with an off-white head. Aroma of caramel and bready malts. Taste is the same, malt dominated, light sweet caramel and bready, fruity hint, mild grassy hop bitterness. Nice one.

Sample at the Roost, pours a clear gold with some sudsy white head. Nose is classic, malt and yeast, a little vegetal and floral. Flavor is better, grist and peanut skins, flowers and dried herbs. Oily finish. Tannins. Fairly long.

Appearance: Clear deep gold with a decent head. Aroma and taste: Quality malt, honey, spicy hop. Balanced. pleasant hoppy ending. Mouth feel: Medium body, appropriate carbonation. Summary: Good Helles.

Bottle, Bierzwerg. A bit neutral roast aroma. Amber chestnut, low offwhite head. Juicy malt, dry bready, light roast, Broad bitterhop profile, light berry and caramel, great balance, quite quaffable.

Bottle from House Of Trembling Madness. Clear amber body with a thick off-white head. Steady carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of marzipan and dried leaves. Flavour of earth, black pepper and toffee. Medium body with a slick texture. Light fizz. A rich, sweet lager.

Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines. Clear amber. Very decent lasting ever so slightly off white foam. Nutty malts and a bit of tea leaf hoppage. Pretty sweet up front with an eventual leafy bitterness. Very chuggable nonetheless. Soft rolling carbonation. Light bitter finish. Enjoyable.

(Bottle, In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 18 Feb 2023) Deep golden colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty nose with bread, toast, apricots and herbal hops. Malty taste with notes of bread, toast, orange peel and a mild herbal bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.
