440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 6.3%. Very dark brown to black colour, moderate beige head. Aroma of mild malts, a hint of sourish berries. Soft mouthfeel. Pleasant flavour, notes of mild malts and liquorice, hints of chocolate, but not too sweet. Low bitterness as expected.

440 ml can, Boxcar Winter Solstice Robust Porter, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.0%. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Small beige head. Aroma of roast malts, dark chocolate, mild coffee and roasted nuts. Soft mouthfeel. Pleasant flavour with the same elements as the aroma, not too sweet. Low bitterness.

440ml can, kindly shared by Finn. Scattered lacing from a stable fawn-coloured head, deep brownish body. Inviting smell of soft dark chocolate, moderately roasted. Malt-forward taste of nutty caramel, chocolate, and figs. Smooth roasted bitterness to the ending, not overly sweet. Well bodied. Good drinking. (Tromsø 11.05.2023).

Fine blended taste of prunes, dark berries, and caramel-chocolate. Slightly roasted malt-driven end. Fine depth. Like it, Yuletide feel in May. (Tromsø, 11.05.2023).
