Sample during Cookie Monster Mike Ream's Birthday! on 08/08/2020. Dark brownish-mahogany pour with a thin light beige head that recedes steadily to a dense film. Sparse patches of lace. Aroma of cognac, dark fruit, yeast and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky cognac, caramel malt, Belgian yeast and dark fruit. The finish is fruity yeast and cognac. Good beer all around.

Sample during Cookie Monster Mike Ream's Birthday! on 08/08/2020. Black pour with some brown around the edges, and a medium khaki head that diminishes steadily to a film. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of rum, malt, coconut, chocolate and coffee. Full-bodied with flavors of rum, roast coffee, chocolate malt and oak. The finish is sweet with a rum and coconut aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Sample during the BBQ n Beer #2 event on 08/01/2020. Brown-black pour with a thin light beige head that diminishes quickly to a wispy film. Small patches of lace. Cognac, malt and chocolate aroma. Full-bodied with a fruity cognac character and notes of roast malt, chocolate and caramel. The finish is sweet with a cognac and dark fruit aftertaste. Good beer all around.

Half pour at taproom. Hazy yellow golden pour, small creamy head. Grainy, pale malt aroma with a hint of citrus. Taste starts with sweet, fruity flavors before succumbing to a sharp, citrusy tanginess, orange zest.

Can. A- Vegetal, coffee, earthy. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Vegetal, earthy, instant coffee, mild cinnamon, straw. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, earthy finish. O- Just haven't enjoyed any of the Clear Sky beers. This was heavy on the stewed pepper / earthy coffee flavor and not a lot else. Hardly any sweetness. Not a fan.

16 oz. can from Tavour. Clear, yellow color, with a medium, frothy, white head. The nose is mild coffee, maple, cinnamon, pine, and grass. Sweet and malty, with a mild bitterness. Light and mellow. This is a fun and easy drinking beer.

Bottle. A- Mild smoke, maple, tobacco, subtle cocoa. A- Black color, black liquid, brown head. T- Tobacco, maple, cocoa, roasty, charred oak, mild dark fruits. P- Full body, thick texture, average carbonation, complex finish. O- Very good and very worth the price of $10 for an 8 oz bottle. Wish I'd have grabbed a few more. This is one of the worst in the serious by reviews yet I felt it was a very fine beer. Lots of complex flavors blended seemlessly. Not boozy, not cloying, just perfect. One of the best beers I've had in some time.

Can. Pours a clear yellow gold with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of coffee with light cinnamon, a bit of vanilla and sweet grains backing. Flavor has more cinnamon with creamy vanilla and coffee in the finish.
