Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 34B -21A/13B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch VM040418 (BBF 11/2018). AROMA: medium hop aroma with a citrus note and slight pine, followed by a low malt profile (slight toffee/caramelly). APPEARANCE: dark ambar color with ruby body against light. clear. medium beige head with average retention. TASTE: initial medium hop flavor (pine, grapefruit), followed by a low malt character (toffee-like), medium to medium-high bitterness with a dry and bitter finish. hop balanced. PALATE: medium-low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: an "india brown ale" nice to drink altough the malt could be a bit more prominent, resulting in a more balanced beer.

AROMA: medium-low hop aroma with oxidation notes (isovaleric), pine, slight lime and melon. medium-low malty background, slightly sweet and faint toffee. faint cereal husk and sulphur. APPEARANCE: deep gold color and translucent. medium-large moussy off-white head with good retention. TASTE: medium-low hop flavor (pine) and some oxidation (isovaleric). neutral medium-low malt background with slight sweetness. medium-high bitterness with a dry and bitter finish that persists. PALATE: medium-low body with medium to medium-high carbonation. slight astringency. OVERALL: an american pale ale starting to show oxidation notes.

Sampled @CRAFT Frankfurt 2018. A hazy orange golden beer with a small off-white head. Aroma of apricot, fruity bitter hops. Taste of apricot, resinous hops, long bitter finish.

23-03-18 // taster at Craft, Frankfurt 2018. Deep black. Lovely nose of dry roasted malts. Full bodied, espresso beans, very dry roasted malt. Dry bitter finish. Great classical stout.

AROMA: medium caramel-like malt aroma, followed by faint apple and low cinnamon. medium alcohol note. APPEARANCE: orange-ambar color and clear. medium creamy beige head with good retention. lace formation. TASTE: low cereal husk flavor, followed by cinammon and medium malty-sweet background (caramel). medium to medium-low background with an almost dry finish. PALATE: medium-high body with medium carbonation. faint tanninic astringency. OVERALL: a SHV beer where the additions are a bit faint.

AROMA: medium-low to light malt aroma with toffee and slight chocolate notes. medium-low spices and faint smoke and chestnuts. APPEARANCE: very dark redish-ambar to brown body and clear. medium light brown and moussy head with good retention. TASTE: initial faint chestnut and nuttiness followed by roasted malt and a slight sweetness. meidum-high bitterness with a dry and roasted finish. PALATE: medium body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: a good brown ale, a bit more roasted and with subtle chestnut.
