Description
Mortalis is about more than just beer. More than the status quo, more than the wood, stone, and metal that make up our brewery, more than a smiling face to greet you, more than that first sip of a strange and wonderful libation. It's about those laughs you shared with a friend while drinking our beer in your garage. The heartfelt conversation you had with a total stranger while sitting at our bar. That moment you realized you were part of something larger while stepping through our doors. It's about connection. A connection that we are all mortals in this realm with stories to tell, dreams to live, and beers to share. We are all Mortalis

16oz can from Tavour. Another excellent edition in this series. Hazy golden pour, thin, sturdy creamy white head, lacing left behind all around the glass. Aroma brings faint citrus peel notes with an earthy backbone. Taste bursts out with some bold fruity flavors, citrus, stone fruit before sinking into the earthy, dirty aspects of the Idaho 7. Very light herbaceous notes along with some dank presence.

6.8/10
Sweet, stuffy and artificial soda fruity with some sugary raspberry juice, faint hints of tartness, coconut and vanilla. A bit messy, way too sweet

Canned 5/27/26, drunk 7/17/26.
Rich and malty with a huge pineapple character. Not really getting much I7...maybe a touch of black tea, but that's probably more suggestive having read that there is I7 in here. Otherwise, earthy, with mineral, overripe citrus and a mix of cracker and bread-like malts.
Sweet, considerably more so than a lot of the top tier IPA breweries. Maybe not too sweet? Soft cherry, fuzzy pineapple, candied citrus, that sort of thing, with low but not nonexistent bitterness. Not sure I'm in love with it; there's a rather raw bitterness (or is it alcohol?) and the sweetness is tiresome over the course of the pint. But this is worlds better than the last IPA I had from Mortalis, back when they were first getting started.

16oz can from Tavour. Hazy golden pour, small creamy white head leaves lacing around the glass. Fruity aroma, notes of citrus and stone fruit. Taste opens with a burst of citrus zest, grapefruit, then some faint peachy notes behind. Creamy feel

Blackberry juice, vanilla, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Sweet and sugary, with a bright, juicy acidity. Light, acidic, and smooth. Beautifully fruity and enjoyable.

16oz can from Tavour, facing off against RAR Out Of Order: Blue Milk. Murky, green blue pour, thick body, blue foam, rings of chunky lacing all the way down. Aroma is pineapple and strawberries. Stronger pineapple in the taste, tart, hint of coconut, berries. Very creamy feel.

Pours murky bruised eggplant into a tulip. Off-white head crackles and recedes to nothing. Pineapple and berry aromas. Thick with sweet donut glaze upfront turning to chewy blueberry before an overly sweet pineapple upside-down cake with glaze glaze glaze. Too sweet for me.
