Cloudy blond color. Dry IPA, with crisp delicate malts, the hopping is very dank, and it has a prominent spicy profile, coriander. Piney and resiny in the final.
Very nice.

Cloudy blond color with orange hue. No beer flavor, some berry presence, tart and astringent finish. Useless creation.

Draft - Vinous red wine notes and some roast, jet brown with a rich light brown head. Red wine barrel is prominent, but no balance with the beer, all barrel. Still kinda good, but not sure I can give the credit to the beer, just the barrel.

Draft - Sweet malt whisky with just a touch of roast. Jet brown with a rich light brown head. Lots of whisky and some big heat in the throat. Finish is where you see the beer, but it’s a bit too late. As a whisky fan, great, but beer guy in me misses the point.

On tap at Aslan, pours black with a reddish tinge and a small beige head. Aroma brings out an earthy, spicy character from the barrels upfront, with a touch of perfume underneath. Flavour is similar, with earthy spicy rye barrels dominating, followed by perfumey notes further back. The rye is certainly aggressive, making this a bit brutal. The red wine version is much better, though this is a nice experiment.

On tap at Aslan, pours black with a reddish tinge and a small beige head. Aroma is very complex, with lots of brett upfront, immediately followed by vinous notes from the red wine. Flavour is complex and deep, with a wonderful marriage of brett and red wine barrels. The tannins combine really well with the brett character, giving way to a woody and bretty finish. Excellent stuff.

On tap at Aslan, pours a fairly clear amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of toasted malt, spiciness and even a bit of hoppy bitterness in back. Flavour is fairly robust, wit lots of toffee and spiciness upfront, with a nice hoppy bitterness in back, ending on caramel notes. Nicely constructed, lots of depth. Very good.

On tap at Aslan, pours a hazy peachy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out toasted cereal malt and crisp crackery notes, not much notice of the blackberries. Flavour is fruitier, with subdued juicy blackberries and toasted cereal malt. Nicely constructed but not overly interesting. Okay.
