cloudy golden color. Nice tropical fruit and apricot nose. Thin body, but good hop character if lacking bitterness. Smooth and creamy. Easy drinking

Tap at the brewpub. Black with pretty lacing. Very spicy nose, cinnamon and cloves, orange, chocolate and some caramel. Very spicy and Christmassy but not so far over the top. Good chocolate and caramel malts. Pretty full body. Spicy and not for drinking huge quantities, but it works well as a winter holiday beer.

Draft at the tap room. Hazy golden color with a medium head. Crisp nose of golden malts, crackers, lemon. Flavor is decent, lemon, bit of cat, malt character is a bit simple and bitter. Decent, needs fine tuning, especially the malts.

I finally got to try something brewed at the Minoh brewpub in Higobashi! It’s a deep thick only fudge brown with a sense beige head.
The aroma is oat, rough earthy roastedness and sweet cocoa. Medium bodied and fairly smooth. The taste is roasty, oats, dark cacao, berry fruit notes and sharp acrid character. Solid enough but not really all that focused.

Tap at the brewpub. Opaque brown, cloudy, with a thick, low, lovely tan head. Huge raspberry nose, juicy, probably puree, lots of chocolate too. ton of raspberry in the flavor. Malt again is a bit harsh. Ok though.

Tap at the brewpub. Cloudy brown-red with a low head. Caramel nose, spicy English hops. Slightly astringent flavor from the malt, with a touch of burnt caramel. Peppery. Smooth, medium body. Decent, though a bit of a problem with the malt.
