Tap at YYG. Gorgeous tropical hop nose. Passiona fruit, mango and grapefruit all there. Average carbonation with a medium body. Juicy and tropical on the palate with some peppery bitterness. Finish is too astringent though. Overall fairly dry and not cloying in any way. --- Beer merged from original tick of Shinjuku IPA on 12 May 2016 at 21:41 - Score: 7. Original review text: Again nice tropical NZ nose. Dry and a tad astringent.

Tap at the brewpub. Dank, creamy nose of grapefruit, tropical fruits. Cloudy gold with lace. Jicy, tropical fruit flavor, peppery, nice hops. A bit thin, and the finish is a bit astringent and harsh, but overall pretty decent.

Tap at the brewpub. Amber-red with lace. Nose of citrus, light tropical fruits. some caramel, and a touch of butterscotch. Fruity, lightly tropical flavor, a bit earthy. Nice, peppery, bitter finish. Good hops for an amber, reaching for Modern Times. A good start.

Tap at the brewpub. Nice Kiwi hop nose, Equinox. A bit pissy, with nice fruit: apricot, grapefruit. Clear gold with a low head. Crisp, clean flavor, crisp body, nice bitterness. Very solid.

Tap at the brewpub. Nice, roasty chocolate nose, coffee and cream. Flavor and body less impressive. Rather thin and watery, with some cocoa and coffee. Nose was great.

Tap at YYG. Deep brown with no head. Huge milk chocolate, cacao nib and espresso notes on the nose. Seriously a solid nose. Thin and watery on the palate. Flavors seem muted and a bit tired. Drinks almost like ice coffee after it has come to room temperature. Love the nose though. --- Beer merged from original tick of Kabukicho Stout on 12 May 2016 at 20:32 - Score: 6. Original review text: Amazing nose. Thin bodied and watery.
