Light wheat aroma but lots of coriander. Looks like a hefeweizen; very dark gold color with dark brown sediment. Flavor of coriander, and surprisingly sour. Salt aftertaste. Sour enough to make me think of a Berliner weisse. This improves considerably as it warms toward room temperature. All of the flavors become more defined, and the wheat shows through much more.

Brought to MrFacto’s ’Tosa tasting by 1FastSTi. Hazy orange body, medium off-white head. Earthy hops aroma with notes of caramel and flower petals. Hoppy flavor with very light malt presence, salty, lightly buttery, and with hints of spice. Touches of biscuit and grassy hops. Overall quite thin-bodied and quite tame, almost adjuncty. Certainly doesn’t do anything to evoke a "close relationship to the renowned Lambic/Gueze breweries" as the description states.

2004? Draught @ Redbones. Well here’s to drinking at 1 o clock in the afternoon on Saturday. No idea what to expect. Pours a copper-amber pretty clear with a small white head. Aroma of faint wheat and yeast and a hint of dried leaves (that’s what it reminded me of, dried leaves being gathered up to be burnt). Anyways, it tasted very similar to a gueuze. Very tart, lightly yeasty, though not funky. No real salt touches, though it was a bit strangely watery/dry. I cant put my finger on this one, but it’s pretty tastey. I just didnt like the fact that it was fairly watery and thin at the end. Good spicy, lightly dry caramel flavor. Interesting.

Tasted at homebrew club meeting. Interesting. The salt, coriander and wheat are indeed all in there. Kind of horsey and sour, with a definite lactic quality. I guess it's a beer that's exactly as advertised! Salt gives it a softened water taste. Then it finishes with a little sweetness. Not to my personal taste, but a pleasure to have discovered.

Salt, spices (coriander, maggi), citrus are all in the aroma. Dark cloudy amber, low carbonation, thick white head. Tart, bitter malt taste. Spices of before again, a tiny bit smoke when exhaling. Lactic aftertaste. Fatty mouthfeel, nourishing body. Weird indeed.

Cloudy orange; very thick, indestructible white head. Soupy nose, fatty and orangezest-smell, coriandre obvious. Taste is soupy again, coriandre but also celery, leeks, bit meaty even - soup. Albeit a nice one. Very slick, oily mouthfeel, more bodied than OG would suggest. Meaty, slick aftertaste. Strange doesn't start to describe it. Anyone who still claims gueuze has anything to do with this, I shoot. But it IS drinkable - ohne Bedenken!

Sampled from 2L growler Strong bitterhop, toffee and bitter coffee aroma. Murky brown, big brown head. Powerfull bitterhop start, a fitting charcoal middle (Heizer means stoker). Body is medium, dry bitterhop and coffee aftertaste.
