Mahogany color, very dark, but with clean light; medium sized beige creamy head. Mild aroma of roasted malt and yeast. The body is lean, the mouthfeel is semi-dry; some flavor of roasted malt, light liquorice presence, very light chocolate; correct bitterness; it has a very light sour impression that may be the sign of future problems; mild touch of roasted nuts in the final.

0.75l bottle @ Local Patriot, Monfalcone. I'm a sucker for these lovely beautiful champagne bottles. It pours a hazy honey golden body with a small and sidesticking white head. It has a really nice and really fresh aroma where I get wheat, oranges and spicy yeast. It's lively on the carbonation with a soft oily texture in the mouth. Flavors are wheaty with lemons and grass before there is a spicy yeasty thing that kicks in. I found this really tasty, and yeah, I liked it. 19.05.2012

A beautiful looking 0.33l bottle from Local Patriot, Monfalcone. This is a hazy honey-colored beer with a small bubbly off-white head. It's really heavy on the butter-caramel in the aroma. I also get some fresh flowers and honey-cake, but the butter-caramel - almost diacetyl-ish thingy going on is somewhat dominant. It's really prickling in the mouth, and it has a near thin and almost watery texture. Flavors are not as buttery as first expected, but there are definitely diacetyl tones here. Quite bitter, some autumn leafs, almost grassy - like in old grass. It's also what I would describe as spicy-herbal. Some hint of alcohol in the finish and it's leaving a dry tongue in the aftertaste. Yeah, I'm not utterly impressed, but nice enough I guess. 20.05.2012
