Description
The Zorzettig brothers, Marco and Massimo, sharing a long lasting experience in winemaking, are now entering the world of microbreweries, they are going to highlight the value of their own crops: 14 hectares of barley and 2 hectares of wheat. The first used to produce base malt and the latter to obtain weizen beer. It is not by chance that the brewery is located in San Pietro al Natisone: the water springs of Monte Mia, supplying a pure and non contaminated water, crucial for the quality and success of the brew. The brewery relies on sustainability: the power consumption need for brewing is completely given by renewable sources. The beers are top fermented and craft made without any filtration and pasteurising.

Bottle. Pours unclear yellow. Aroma is diacetyl, butter, old candy, phenols, bad honey. Body is medium, low carbonation, softly sweet and bitter but not much else. Low on flavours. Meh.

E ovo je piva sa Vespaše, jel Hlaja? Bez glutena, nekako vuče na kiselkasto. Više podsjeća na pšenično, a ne pale ale. Da se popiti, ali je bez glutena i vidi se da joj nešto fali.

Bottle, 0.50l. Clear pale golden color with large soapy white head and sparkling appearance. Pleasant aroma of citrus, mild tropical fruit, banana and yeast. Taste starts light to medium sweet grainy. following is medicinal, yeasty, herbal and grassy, mouthfeel is dry and mild spicy, while finish is average bitter. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. IPA??? Much more hefe-weizen alike...

Bottle @ Camping Piantelle, Lago de Garda. Pours hazy dark brown with a offwhite head, lacings. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, sweet dried fruit, dried apricot, wood, oak, alcohol. Flavor is sweet, light tartness, malt, caramel, lots of wood, tart oaky, dried fruit, dried apricot, alcohol. Medium body, very lively carbonation, sweet, light tart finish with warming alcohol. Proberly not as the brewer intented, but the light infection works well here. 190717

Pours just slightly hazy golden, topped with huuuge whit head, creamy and quite pasting. Very mild fruitiness, peaches and pears, some grasiness and wet socks. Slight malty sweetness in front, a bit of fruitiness with milder bitterness in the finish. Not bad, drinkable with medium body, but that’s it, decent at best.

Bottle at Erzbierschof Monday Club. Pours hazy yellow. Wow, flowers and spices and glutamate which doesn’t belong. And skunk. Taste is soapy and metallic, with a lively carbonation. A weird one, and I don’t mean that in a good way.
