Deep golden colour with a white head. Rich malty nose. Malty flavour with some bitterness. A little bit alcohol coming thorugh.

Golden with a small white head. Grainy aroma with some pepper, a touch of cardboard and honey. Sweet and plain flavour of cardboard, honey and pepper

Golden with a small white head. Weak and slightly fruity aroma with a touch of cardboard. Sweetish malty flavour with grassy hops and plenty cardboard.

Mild herber und recht trockener Beginn. Hintergründig geringe Alkoholnoten und helle Holznoten. Wenig süß, hell malzig, die Unterschiede zum Bourbon Chipsed Pale Ale sind minmal, bitte mehr Holzchips für nächstes Mal. Herber werdend, das Grundbier wird voller, die Hintergrundnoten kommen deutlicher hervor, das Bier wird so insgesamt würziger. Würzig holzige und erdige Noten im Abgang. Nett, leider aber nichts Besonderes. 7/10/10/10/11/10

Schwacher, fast wässriger Beginn. Leichte Vanillenoten kommen auf, trockenes Holz, Bourbonnoten. Dies sind aber alles nur schwache Nuancen, die nicht über das schwache Grundbier hinwegtäuschen können. Dieses weist eine geringe Herbe und noch geringere Bitterkeit auf, laff, nicht einmal Malznoten sind in weiten Teilen erkannbar. Die von den Holzchips stammenden Noten werden derweil stärker, besonders das Vanillearoma ist gut erkennbar, warme (milde) Schokoladennoten. Ein guter Ansatz, der vielleicht mit einem anderen Bier als Ausgangsbasis wiederholt werden sollte. 6/9/11/12/10/10

Thanks to bierkrug fro the recommendation. This tasty dunkelbock boured a nice deep brown with beige one finger head. Nice and roasty flavor, snooth on the palate with just a touch of bitterness. I’m likin’ it!
