Tap at the brewpub. Very biscuity, lots of malt, bit sweet too. Initial citrus hop hit, but afterwards just bitter. Quite strong, veering towards dipa, and shows in the taste. Resinous, lots of grain too. Not quite there yet I think.

Tap at the brewpub. Bit sweet, bit choc, bit of hops. Light citrus. Malty. Ovaltine. Alright. Caramel.

Wheat IPA ver. 2.20 5.6% on tap at the brewpub.

A cloudy light honey gold with a big fluffy head of foam. Made with Cascade it has a nice fruity citrus hop bouquet. A bit buttery but fairly clean tasting, sweet fruity hops, dry finish. Alright.

Pours hazy brownish amber. Foam is nice and stays for.a.bit. This IPA seems to have more alcohol than 7,5%, at 8,3% it is pretty strong and hopefully DIPA-ish. However, aroma is mainly malty with some soap water? Not very aromatic as I would have expected. Taste reveals a bit more hops but is heavy and unbalanced, not really nice at all. Murky and messy. I can finish it but this one was not good.

Pours white and hazy, persistent white head. Aroma is very wheat, bit sour and home-brew-ish although with some hops. Taste has a good hop kick that has been mellowed by rich wheat character.. Far from being balanced but authentic and really works well with this hot Tokyo weather, resurrecting me nicely.
