Bottle from Snoqualmie Market
Cloudy light amber color with small compact head. Aroma of hops, and celery. Lean mouthfeel, almost try; resiny hops, but it also has a too strong vegetable component.
Not good.

deep golden color. Very strange hoppy nose. Spoiled Marmalade, covert oatmeal creamy. The mouth is hoppy, but honestly I wonder if the beer is infected. A bit strange and not my cup of tea at all.

22 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy orange with a medium white head. Aroma is on the maltier side, with huge juicy resinous hops and a whopping caramel malt backing. Flavour is thankfully not on the maltier side, but it is treading into "too hoppy" territory surprisingly -- the hops are extremely astringent. There is some bitter grapefruit rind in there as well, magnifying the bitterness. This is only for extreme hopheads. Nothing subtle about this. Cool extreme experiment that is somehow drinkable to me, though this is excessively bitter.

Bottle thanks to my wife! Pours near black with a creamy brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of roasted malts and a bitter dark grains with some light toasted coconuts. Flavor has a nice combination of coconut and roasted malts with growing dark grains that add a touch of bitterness in the finish.

Thin head amber color. Big stone fruit, passion fruit, mango nose. Big malt backbone balances out a lot of hops, but really well balanced. Not too sweet and more herbaceous character in the mouth. Ballsy, but not gangster, and I love that balance.

Bomber. I guess this is an addition and new entry to the regular 51. Yes, I just checked the website, it is indeed a separate beer. Anyway, pours an appealing black color with a medium brown head. A big coconut and cocoa nose. The flavor is big coconut, almost like rum or even pumpkin, some sweet chocolates, dry cocoa. A bit too much coconut for me, and I like coconut. The base needs to be bigger to handle that treatment! Good though.

16 ounce can from Beermongers. Pours a dark copper color with a large white head. A sweet nose of fruit, oranges especially, caramel. The flavor is quite nice: lemons, sweet perfume, some toffee, caramel, lemon rind, medium bitterness especially in the finish. Quite good. A sort of grainy earthy finish with bitter hops.

Sampled on tap at PIB, pours an opaque murky dark orange with a tiny head. Aroma of citrus hops, booze, some liqueur, some paint thinner. Flavour of paint thinner, booze, some weird tropical fruits and citrus hops. Way messier than the Ascension - very unbalanced and haphazardly crafted. Not a success in terms of being a 120 clone, nor on its own. Decent attempt but needs work.
