Description
Born out of an undying passion for the perfect pint of beer, Baerlic Brewing Company is a collaborative entity created by us, Ben Parsons and Richard Hall. After years of brewing on the small scale in a basement and winning numerous awards in amateur competitions all over the region, we decided that we should finally give in to the voices in our heads and move toward a small scale production brewery and taproom.

When we say The Beer Here Is Near And Dear, we mean it. We strive to work in as close a proximity as possible for all our ingredients, materials, vendors, supplies, and suppliers. And that allows us to absolutely love the beer that we brew.

16 oz. can, pours a fairly clear golden with a small white head. Nose reveals a pleasant mix of tangy, gooseberry-like hop tang from the Riwaka, and melony hop tang from the Mosaic, with a thin biscuity malt base. Flavour is surprisingly lacking cohesion, somehow bringing out a weird bitter orange rind character along with some vegetal character. The Mosaic and Riwaka aren’t able to shine like they can. The vegetal character ends up dominating on the finish. How Belmont Station allowed this to be their 29th anniversary beer, I do not know; pretty disappointing, pretty incompetent westie.

473mL can. Pours clear pale gold with a white head. Pine, stonefruit, and citrus peels on the nose. Flavour is dry and bitter, lots of citrus peels, pine, and a lingering parsnip character. The nose is good, but the hop expression is pretty fucked up on the palate; the Mosaic and Riwaka are not well expressed at all. Disappointing for Belmon Station to commission this as an anniversary beer.

Yellow body with white head. Faint hop aroma. Taste is Hop forward but the hallartau puts a lager note in it. Crisp lasting finish.
