Drunk this one a couple of years ago in Portugal. I used to drink macro portuguese lagers which are really shitty so this one was really good in comparison. Now I would say that this one is just average after trying dozens of Helles. Drinkable Helles.

Buying this solid doppelbock at Heinrich 3000 that I didn't drink since 2006. The same taste and a great doppelbock, in my point of view. This one is rich, malty, smooth, a bit toasted, toffee and bitter at the same time, the best one of this brewery, 21.01.2024, at Epalinges

Usually skunky but pretty good when its not. Pours golden yellow w/decent sized head. Acceptable for a large market lager.

Tap at Max Emanuel. Deep golden, offwhite head. Medium full dry. Dry spicy honey, grain, not sticky, crunchy, ok hops, mellow, not super interesting, but decent.

Tap at Max Emanuel. Clear amber golden. Malt, metallic, nuts, soap. Front heavy, creamy, rather bland, sticky buttery, but at least it is not sticky sweet.

Pours clear , warm blonde. Small white head, low stability. Scent is raw, malty, cereal, fairly weak and gives an industrial impression. Taste is mildly bitter, raw malty cereal, corn-like almost, even. Maltsyrup (isn't that forbidden by the purity law?) , very sweet and cloying finish. Feels industrial, way more than most to even all other german beers. Not great, at all... Actually exhausting to drink, after the second sip, i'm already tired of it. NA beers should be a replacer for non alcoholic drinks, but it's hard to think of something as hard to drink i'd be able to replace with this. No major flaws, quality wise, but the recipe and perhaps ingredients need a big upscale action in my opinion.

Tap at Gasthof Oberfläche. Clear golden. Hoppy, grass, citrus. Full, chewy, with a hoppy soapy buttery aftertaste. Fresh, clean. This is drinkable.
