super dry, malty, a tour of oak. Malty but the fruit sweetness at the end of palate that works with funky Belgian yeast.

I couldn’t get to CBM PORTA to try the WCB Watermelon beer tonight so I’ll just enjoy a goody from my fridge. Shiga Kogen Farmhouse Lager 4.5% Great gold color and fairly long-lasting head of foam. Grainy tangy sweet aroma with a crisp medium body. The flavor has a slight rustic note from the hops and tgis beer is immensely crushable and reminds me of some ultra-fresh j-craft Helles I’ve had. A steal at like 500¥. Definitely try it if you are a lager fan.

Bottle from the brewery, mail order. Big cognac nose, oak, vanilla, lactic acid, grapes, orange. Subtle and elegant. Amber-orange, clear, with a huge head. Flavors of caramel, oak, light chocolate, bitter oak, and cognac of course. Very nice. Approaching a BA quad or Belgian yeast barley wine more than a saison. Rich, mellow, full bodied. Finish is quite bitter. Very good.

slightly hazy medium golden color. Big nose of funky Belgian yeast, big habanero, soapy and apricot character. Medium full body, big habanero and funky yeast with some fruit. Alcohol is well hidden for the style. A bit all over the place but fun.

750 ml bottle. Hazy pale yellow. Nose is sage, grapefruit, sansho pepper, lemon. Bigger sansho in the flavor, lots of citrus, spicy, tangy, bretty. Thought I might not like the sage, but it's not overdone and works very well in there.

Tap at Craft House. Slightly hazy light golden color with lace. Grassy, bready, herbal nose, spicy spelt. Light, crisp malt, herbal and grassy hop flavor. Simple and tasty.

Bottle split at the Soapy returns tasting, Mother Arch ii, thanks to LKS, 27/04/23. Moderately hazed orange amber with an off white cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is soy sauce, earthy fruit rinds, herb, light spice, oxidised, stewed fruits. Taste comprises umami, dirty, rotting fruit, soy sauce, grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Pretty garabge and rot-boxy ... should have been dealt with some time ago!

Can shared at scopey homecoming tasting at kernel.any thanks to leighton for this one. A dull brown murky pour a loose off white head. Aroma is semi sweet, dusty grains, grass. Green apple. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, grass, green hop, stale grains, stale bread, apple. Muddled. Palate is semi sweet, flabby, moderate carbonation. Bit not great.
