Poured on mug, can't be sure about colour but i'd say something in the likes of light brown / dark reddish. A quite dense off-white head shows good retention and nice lacing. Aroma is a not especially potent, super classic dunkelish, with a caramel and nutty malts base, a bit of cola-like feel, and hints of frutiness. Taste, however, is definitely more bitter than the average dunkel. Again, caramel and nutty malts base, but also a hint of roasted malts. Slight kinda berrish fruitiness and a rather strong per style flowery hops bitterness that also brings a clean finish. Overall, perfect sweet/bitter balance in the mouth, slight bitter edge in the finish and a clean, quite dry per style aftertaste. Light bodied with quite low, delicate carbonation, resulting in a smooth, easy feel. Aroma and taste were perhaps not too intense, but as with many german lagers, the drinkability and balance give this beer a moreish feel. Very nice.

Coffee aroma and flavor. Some caramel. Strong barnyard impression. Bitter aftertaste. Very rural beer. (5 3 5 2 9 is equal to 2.4) Bottled: nutmeg, cinnamon and caramel in the aroma. malty sweet, buttery and caramelly flavor with a barnyard character. Fresh from the brewery this beer deserves a higher rating
