Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Nr Gent, Belgie consumed at Frank (camper) Camping Trois Château Eguisheim, Alsace, France, Monday 20th June 2016 whilst cooking chicken wrapped in Alsace Jambon and served with salad. This is a jolly good DIPA, it is a solid beer the maltiness leaving it sitting somewhere between a DIPA and a Barley Wine, it really has a strident malty backbone to it. Copper in colour it is there is a possible citrussy edge but I like the maltiness here. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.5

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Nr Gent, Belgie consumed at Frank (camper) Hans Memling campsite, Brugge, Saturday, 18th June 2016 Hazy light amber with a slim white head. As expected the hops are a little tame and safe, not sure how many they used but you get the impression that regardless even if you put in a vast amount it was only going to make an earthy, hedgerow hoppy beer more earthy and hedgerowy, you’d be pulling brambles and soil out from between your teeth. It’s fine but completely unremarkable. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

@ LIBF 2016. Dark brown, Lots of coffee, roastiness. Weak and refreshing but nice for that low alcohol level.

Bottle @ LIBF’16. Shared with the RB Belgian team. Dorée, col blanc. Arôme au nez houblonné, fleuri grains concassés et justement décrit comme ayant un côté de croute de pain + agréable bouquet de malt pils. Palais est léger centré sur la malté pils assez frais tout comme les notes vertes de houblons nobles. Ces derniers offrent un léger côté épicé qui tranche bien avec ce fruité type de style pils.

Dark golden colour with thin lacy head. Strong aroma of tropical fruits especially pineapple. Flavour is bittersweet. A bit syrupy.
