This is a cool beer. I had this once before and though it was great. This time the juniper is lowered but still lightly there. In general its a thick barelywine without any of the negatives because they did not try to make this an alcohol bomb. So nothing astringent, no cherry. Its just a thick malt bomb with some raisin. The flavor has a bit more bitterness to it and in general the juniper is off setting some of the heft of the beer. Color is dark brown, too dark to see through. The head sticks around for a while. A nicely thicker mouthfeel works great for the structure of the beer.
500mL bottle, Schlitz malt liquor thick goblet (yeah, old skool).

Bottle from Liquid Solutions. Pours very dark brn/blk with a three finger tan head. Aromas of sweet dark malt, tending towards treacle. Medium plus body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is seemingly coffee, chocolate and dark fruits and malts. Suggests cola a bit. Very fresh fruit wise. Just enough hop to make the finish pleasant. Damn good stuff. Does end a bit sweet, but far from sticky.
