Description
Iso-Kallan Panimo was founded in 2013 in the heart of the Finnish Lake region, in Kuopio.

Our Brewery produces beers, long drinks and lemonades. We get Inspiration for our products from the huzzle and buzzle of the world as well as the laid-back attitude of the Savo region.

If you find yourself in Kuopio, come and visit our store & taproom. During the summer we also have a lovely terrace where you can enjoy a fresh pint in the sun.

Tap at SOPP2023, Helsinki. Colour is Very dark brown with small slightly brownish head. Aromas and flavours: Chocolate, some licorice.... pretty OK actually.

Smell of bread, hops, malt. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of bread, hops, malt. Bready finish. Lively carbon.

Smell of roasted malt, coffee. Dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, ash. Bitter. Soft carbon.

Faint smell of malt and grass. Copper colour, off-white head. Aroma of grass, malt, caramel malt, faint honey in finish. Lively carbon. Medium sweet, a bit too sweet for a märzen.

(Keg at SOPP Helsinki 2023) The beer poured brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had solvent, malts and caramel. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, grass, caramel and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A brew with weird aroma but decent taste.

33cl bottle at Grill House on Baltic Princess. Pours dark mahogany with a modest, off-white head. Mild smokey aroma with notes of roasted malt, caramel and dried fruits. Sweet, malty and quite pleasant.
