Really spicy beer, with tones of cinnamon and wood. The gruit is clearly present as well. Nice experiment.

Aroma: Fruity, hoppy and some alcohol notes.
Palate: Medium + body. Slightly sweet and a rich bitterness. Soft carbonation.
Taste: Tropical fruity, hoppy and a fine mild malty background.

33cl Bottle from Kasteel Slangenburg in Doetinchem. Clear orange/amber colour, white head. Aroma is quite sweet, cooked apples, like an old tripel, amber malts, light citrus. Flavour is medium-sweet, light malty, sweet apples, fruity, sweet corn, yeast, yeasty bitter finish. Light-bodied. Itβs OK, but nowhere near a Wit imho.

33cl Bottle from Kasteel Slangenburg, Doetinchem. Dark red-brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of forest fruits, berry tartness, some spelt tartness, some roasted malts. Flavour is light-sweet, dark malts, berries, dark fruits, raspberry, hint of roast, some lemony tartness from the spelt grain I guess. Medium-bodied. Nice. Earlier Rating: 10/26/2008 Total Score: 2.775cl bottle @ BBF ’08. Hazy reddish orange colour, looks like Roosvicee, thin head. Aroma of spelt sweetness, red fruits and some sourness, a bit like vomit (not nice). Flavour is sweet, red fruits, sugar, spelt, a little sour. Better than the aroma. Different, but not outstanding, and nothing like a bock.

Clear amber colour, white head. Malty aroma, attic, lots of coriander, honey and herbs. Sweet malty flavour, raisins, coriander, sherry note. Finish honey and malts.
Somehow this has a quite old feel to it.
(From 33cL bottle @ Oirschot tasting. Thanks for sharing, joes!)
