Draught @ hbf 2018. Poured pretty much black in color with a thin brown head. Oatmeal, licorice, roasted malty aroma. Flavor has roastedness, licorice, coffee, salty notes, dark chocolate. Heavy. Not bad.

Draught @ hbf 2018. Poured light amber color with a thick white head. Malty, dusty grainy aroma. Flavor has hops, grains, hay, dust and minerals. Nice drinkability. Quite malty.

Tap at HBF2018, Helsinki. Colour is almost black with small brownish head. Aromas and flavors: Licorice, some salt, coffee and roasted malts. Very heavy and strong flavors but little bit of salty for me. Overall quite good. Re-rate at Pikkulintu. 20180525. Excellent condition. Little bit of too salty and enough licorice. Getting better. 3.7-3.8.

Tap at Kaisla. Dark amber colour, small white head, lace. A bit rough, bready, caramelly aroma. Medium-bodied. Caramel, a bit ryeish flavour, nutty. British bitter.

Tap at Kultainen Apina, Tampere. Color is clear orange with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Some fruits, pine, some herbs, hops and malts.

Tap at Maltainen Metso. Clear amber colour, small white head and lace. Light resin, sweet almost strawberry-like fruityness in the nose. Medium-bodied. Fruity, touch of strawberry. Light grassy hops in the finish. Quite similar to some other Olutpaja ipas. Have had better ones from them.

(Keg at Pikkulintu, 20180318) The beer poured brown and nearly clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had toasted malts, caramel and toffee. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were toasted malts, toffee, pine, grass, caramel and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A pleasant malty brew with great drinkability.

Tap at Rotterdam. Dark ruby colour, small steady beige head. Aroma is sweet toasted licorice and vanillin sugar. Light-bodied. Sweetish vanillin and grassy hops. Watery finish. Keg is not in a good condition or very lame porter from Olutpaja?

Draught @ 60° HEL T1. Pours dark orange with a small bubbly head. Aroma of sweet caramely malts, earthy notes, grass, pine and herbal notes. Taste is sweet, malty and earthy with some grass, grainy notes, hints of pine and gooseberries. Finish is sweet, malty and earthy with some caramel, grass and grainy notes. A bit unbalanced, too sweet and malty.
