Can (from K Citymarket Kivihaka, Vaasa). More or less black colour, mediumsized creamy brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, toffee, some ashes and mild ripe fruits. Flavour is roasted malts, toffee, some grassy notes as well as some mild fudge as well. Very nice actually.

A black beer with a dense, almost medium and light brown head. Aroma of ryebread, roastiness and chocolate, a simple, but nice aroma. Taste is nicely roasted and quite dry, coffee, some sweetness and chalk. Almost medium bodied, smooth carbonation, nice to enjoy. Easy and tastefull Stout, I like this beer.

(Can, 0.33 l, from Supermarket, 20130412) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had herbalness, metallicness and mildly grain. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were herbalness, metallicness, sweetness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was bitter. Flavourful mild pils but something in the flavour combinations didn’t please me. Still one of the better beers from Mallaskoski.

Can (from K Citymarket Kivihaka Vaasa). Goldeny pale amber colour with a small white head. Aroma is sweet malts, some grass and mild spicyness to it. Flavour is fruity, a bit floral and sweet malty with some bready notes as well. Quite nice grassy/hayish bitterness in the finish. Much to my surprise, this one is actually very nice. Or then it’s just because it’s still very fresh.

Aroma has butter, some honey, hay and grass. Flavour has grainy malt, some honey, hints of butter and hay. Finishes with grassy hops. More rich and better than other Mallaskoski products, but still I would like something more here.

Unfiltered version, 4.7%
Aroma has quite strong gooseberry bush notes and some grapefruit. Flavour is somewhat yeasty with strong gooseberry bush, some grapefruit, birch leaves and distant herbal tones. Also some grainy malt and hints of butter. Finishes with lingering hops. A bit bitter in a harsh way.

A dark yellow beer with a medium and blond head. Aroma is pure, honey malts, some butter, grass and hint of aromatic nuancees. Taste of malts, wheatfield, some honey, just enough of bitterness to dry the taste, grass. In the aftertaste there are more bitterness. Medium bodied, smooth and nice to drink. Quite nice Pils, but nothing more.

33cl can, bbe 09/2013. Poured clear golden with a frothy white head. Aroma is sweet malty with some light fruity hoppyness. Flavor is malty, with more fruity, grassy notes. Actually the finish is the best part, nice bitter and fruity finish. Nice session beer.
