Very fine, disparate white head over very carbonated yellow-golden, clear beer. Slightly sourish, hay, slightly decaying hay, putteke - as the St. Martinus, but less outspoken. Bitterish, faintly spicey taste over more hay, grain, grassy. It’s indeed sourish, in the taste too, but every sip runs out bitterish, nearly hoppy. Still underneath, there’s a sweetish malty flavour. The problem with this beer is that instead of sourish, bitterish and sweet achieving balance, they counteract each other, near clashing. Light, slight grist slickness. I wonder what the difference is with the St. Martinus - if any.

Thick, dense brownish head over Coca-Cola coloured beer. Fresh malt, even greenmalt. A bit of brown candy sugar. Roasted, leafy-bitterish taste, bit of human sweat flavour, subtly spiced but overrrun by the earthy characteristics of the malts used. The finish is more hop-influenced, with a dry bitterness. Medium bodied, sharp ending, alcohle is fairly hidden. Not really a success - except for the fact that it is not overly sweet as most Dutch Bocks.

Disparate light head, fast gone, over very carbonated beer, with a champagne-like colour and appearance. Nose of sour hay, yeast - this is a benign infection! A bit of ’t putteke . Fleetingly sourish, then an equally short-lived bitterness, tad metallic, reverting to more classical pilsner flavours with some grassy and hay - but hay that’s been long out there withouth drying. Very light bodied. A bit sharp, but not burning MF. As said, this is infected, but in a pleasing way. It’s quite original in it’s style! Thanks Dean.

Bottle, BB Jul 06. Hazy brown color, big frothy off-white head, lots of small particles. Aroma of some yeast, malty, bit brackish, some vegetable, alcohol even. Malty taste, bit sweet, some prune, coffee. Bit bitter.

Bottled. (a year past BB-date) Reddish brown with lots of floaties and a nice, dense, off-white head. Weak aroma with caramel, sweetness and hints of alcohol. Alcohol, sweetness, dried fruits and caramel in the flavor. Full body and a sweet finish with lots of alcohol. A nice, warming, Dutch bock. (061111)

Bottle. Frothy white good mostly deminishing head. Yellow colour. Light hoppy very fruity aroma. Very acetic (in a good way not lactic) and light bitter flavor. Average finish. Watery palate.

Cloudy golden brown color, medium dying head. Aroma of some yeast, bit yoghurt indeed, some strawberry, slight herbal. Slight sour and sweet taste.
