Bottle. BB April 05, 13 months ago. Almost clear golden colour. Fizzy, unstable white head. Mild, malty flavour, a bit sweet. Rough carbonation. Rather mild beer, but nicely balanced.

(Bottle 30 cl) Hazy dark golden with a small, white head. Vague aroma of wheat, yeast and citrus. Medium body and rather fresh flavours of yeast and citrus. No real bitterness. Presumably this is brewed according to the German Reinheitsgebot. 200406

Hazy pale blond color. Aroma of chemicals, plastic. Mix taste, between a Triple (fruity and spicy) and a Strong Lager (alcoholic, with a high warming ending bitterness). Not my kind.

(bottle) Dark red-brown colour with a small foamy off-white head. Slightly sweet toastmalty aroma with a distinctive chestnut nose and a light hoppy tone. Bittersweet flavour, medium body and carbonation. Initial toast malty with chestnut mash, dry and bitter finish with a note of herbal hops and liquorice. Quite tasty and not too sweet Bock, nice !

A nut brown beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is yeasty with slight notes of caramel and nuts, on a slightly acidic background. The flavor is sweet with lots of nutty notes as well as toffee, and with a good body - the alcohol can be noted, but not tasted - nice. It ends on a nutty dry note with a slight warming sensation in the throat.

Bottle. Belgian-style beers from Netherlands seem to be of a generally pourer quiality than their belgian counterparts, and this is no exception. It is a good beer by all means, but the belgians usually do it better. The beer is cloudy, golden with a dense white head. The aroma is a little perfumed along with fruits and some malt. Fruity and sweet taste. Thx to KØLF. (050923)

(Bottle 30 cl) Dirty, muddy appearance - head is fine though, creamy, light brown and rather stable. Light chocolatey flavours and doesn’t reaaly get much from the burned malts this is based on. Very bitter. 100204

(Bottle 30 cl) Simply called "Grunn Bock" in my version - reckon it’s the same. Very dark brown with a reddish glow. Unfiltered hence with some impurities but not really hazy as such. Light brown head. Notes of dark roasted malt, almost burned malt with a slight underlying sweetness. Reminds me of the Belgian version of Scotch Ale. Nice indeed. 021103
