Draught@Helsinki Beer Festival 2011 (as Saimaan Erikoisportteri). Deep rubyish brown colour with a small brown head. Aroma is mild toasted notes, some ashes as well as mild dark dry fruityness and some liquorice. Flavour is fruitty, mild ashes, soome slight wooden notes as well as quite sweet. Pleasantly balanced.

Draught@Helsinki Beer Festival 2011. Deep amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is caramel, toffee, some mild grains as well as some slight earthyness. Flavour is a bit metallic, mild roasted malts, some bready and ashy notes as well. Not too much bitterness.

Bottledm, thanks TEJA! Clear amber, small head. Almondy nose. Dry with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Cookies, caramel and almonds backed by light spicy hops. A straightforward dubbel. Likable and correct, although not the most entertaining example of the style.

Bottle 330ml.Clear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting to diminishing, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, burnt malt - caramel, malt bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110416]

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are caramel, chocolate, roast malt and hops.

Bottle, courtesy of saxo. Looking really nice in the glass with its dark amber to copper colored clear body and the small, dense, light beige head. The aroma isn’t at the same level, nor is the flavor, both with a nice roastyness, but there’s also a touch of dms. Slightly papery too. Well, I like the roasted aroma and flavor really nice, a pity the rest of the beer isn’t as good. Medium body, dry. Roasted finish that lasts. Well, it started out boring but got better and better. 110416

Pours cleat dark brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel and some spices. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
