Description
Saimaa Brewing Company on yksi Suomen vanhimmista yhä toiminnassa olevista pienpanimoista. Juuremme ulottuvat vuoteen 1995, jolloin ravintoloitsija Pertti Oksa aloitti oluenpanon Mikkelissä 200 litran ravintolapanimossa.

50cl can. Poured amber in color, thin white head. Aroma has mostly caramel, malts and mild herbs. Flavor has harsh hops, caramel malts, old fruits. Where are the C hops here? Useless as it is I'm afraid.

An orange beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has fruitness whick's overriped fruitness, thus not so fresh, citrus and cantaloupe. Taste has also overriped fruitness, quite mild bitterness, herbs. Medium bodied. Good hops are totally hidden, this kind of beer should be a refreshning, this isn't.

An orange beer, a head is medium and blond. Aroma has caramel, some fruitness maybe with tropical notes, mild vegeteables, not fresh. Taste has caramel maltyness, no fruitness, mild bitterness is harsh without aromatic notes. Quite light bodied. Again a beer that was not worth to brew from Saimaa.

Can 500ml (from the brewery)
Clear copper colour, nice beige head. Odd musty aroma with some crystal malts. Light-bodied. Caramel, earthy hops. Light sweetish finish. Meh. Typical low alcohol red ale from Saimaa.

Clear golden colour, tiny white head. Aroma has grains and grass, some green apple. Saaz is there but not very fresh way. Light-bodied. Some fruityness, grainy, a bit harsh flavour. Similar to other Saimaa lagers.

Can 500ml (from the brewery)
Clear dark golden-honey colour, small white head. Harsh grainy-grassy aroma. Light-bodied. Typical Saimaa harshness, bitterness in the flavour. Some underlying fruityness. Can says "refreshing and fruity" but unfortunately it is not refreshing at all (despite being a can directly from factory) and not so fruity either.
