About
Saimaa Brewing Company on yksi Suomen vanhimmista yhä toiminnassa olevista pienpanimoista. Juuremme ulottuvat vuoteen 1995, jolloin ravintoloitsija Pertti Oksa aloitti oluenpanon Mikkelissä 200 litran ravintolapanimossa. Nykyinen, vuonna 2013 käynnistynyt panimomme mahdollistaa maanlaajuisen toiminnan ja kasvuvaraa riittää vielä tulevaisuuteenkin. Tällä hetkellä olemme tuotantomääriltämme Suomen kolmanneksi suurin pienpanimo.

Tap at HBF2018, Helsinki. Color is clear orange with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Strawberries, some sweetness, some hoos and malts. Quite weak and unpleasant. Can't find much hops.

33cl can. From Alko. Poured deep golden color with a thick white head, unclear. Dill, herbal, grassy grainy aroma. Strong herbal, dill, hops and grass in flavor. Full bodied, herbal, mouthdrying finish. Interesting.

50cl can. The beer poured mahogany color with a thin off white head. Bready malty, light smoke in the aroma. Flavor has bready malts, some chocolate notes, roastedness and roasted nuts. Ok body. Ok drinkability.

A golden beer a head is medium and blond. Aroma has maltyness and some sweetness, grass and honeydew, simple. Taste has maltyness, some fruitness of honeydew and metallic notes, mild bitterness, sweetness is quite high. Lihgt+ bodied, slightly harsh. Not so good notes of honeydew.

50cl can, rated 30.3.2018. Poured clear golden color with a thin white head. Crisp malty lager with sweetness and hay. Flavors mostly grain, hay and light sweetness, light bitterness as well. Had it with spicy chicken. Not too sweet, so quite refreshing.

50cl can. The beer poured unclear light golden color with a thick white head. Wheaty, sweet aroma with some orange peel as well Spicy, wheaty flavor, quite sweet with harshness in finish. Drinkable but didn't like the finish that much.
