Description

Thank you for sharing people! 330 ml. bottle sampled @ “Gouda Winterbier Festival 2016”. Deep red amber, fizzy little head. Nose is very weird burned herbs, cough syrup, very herbal. Taste is strange coffee grounds, burned cough syrup, vegetable, herbal, massive,… Fizzy & vegetable body. Very strange profile, hard to stomach a bit for me. Very odd & not for me.

Thank you for sharing people! 330 ml. bottle sampled @ “Gouda Winterbier Festival 2016”. Dark brown, solid mocha head. Nose is nice smoke, rather umami in a big way with big rich herbal roast, touch varnish. Taste is herbal soy sauce, big roast, sweetish, wild herbs, malt, licorice,… Thick, warming. Plenty of notes that don’t usually work for me but it comes together surprisingly well.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - BBE 02/17, at Gastropub Tuulensuu, 20151230) The beer poured deep amber and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had malts, saltiness, molasses, caramel and mildly booze. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, molasses, caramel, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet and mildly bitter. A rather sweet brew and despite the rather low ABV the alcohol was present too strongly.
