Toweringly huge, but very solid, rapidly collapsing head, white, fed by lively carbonation in a Chablis-like coloured beer; lace. Distinctly winey nose, white wine, malonic acid, fresh green leaves, lemonjuice and somewhere pale malts. Disturbingly, it’s not at all a jumble, but perfectly integrated! In the taste, the balance tilts to the barley, rather than the grape; dry "à souhait", pale malts dominated, little pinch of fresh (winey) sourishness in the finish. Just not grapey. Fizzy MF, dry but nearly absent aftertaste, just a metallic reminiscence and some undistinct sweetness: my only point of dissention. I owe marcusm an apology, even when he’s not aware of it. When he first posted enthusiastically about this beer, my (silent) reaction was one of disbelief - a gimmick, a non-event. Brother was I wrong, this rocks. Thanks, Marcus! Needs to be served very cold, warming up dulls it.

Dark color, creamy head. Peculiar aroma, malt, roasted malt, coffee, cream, cheesy yeast. Medium body structure, sweet, some roasted malt; but both the malt and roasted malt are too soft. The flavor is not up to the expectations after the aroma.

(Bottle 33 cl) Comes simply as "Redange Quaffit Stout" - nothing "okult" here. Slightly hazy mahogany with a reddish hue. Creamy, beige head leaving a neat lacework. Lightly cocoaish nose. Not overwhelmingly full-bodied with some lightly burned malt. Vinous and very lovely with notes of cocoa and coffee. Light-bitter finish. Unusual but very nice. Organic. What a pity if this brewery is now out of business. 120206

Bottle. Rose and malt aroma. Medium yellow - cloudy with little head. Slight sweet rose, malt and slight hops flavor. A very flowery beer.

Beautiful deep amber-red; yellowish, irregular head. Caramel, orange, and a fresh herbal aroma (parsley?); sweet spices as cinnamon and cloves. Orange cake - very appetising nose. Sweet-bitter taste, well balanced, quite dry-spicey. "Sweet" spices give often a dry-bitter taste, mustard or horseradish powder flavour without the sharpness. Again a bit clovey, caramel flavour. Finishes orangey. Dry-out effect! Reasonably well-bodied, but not heavy. This is a nice one! Surprising for this quiet brewery, and all the more laudable. I’d say Danke in Letzebürgisch would I know how, Marcus.

Bottled. Copper colour. Sweet, orangey and almondy. Firmly malty with some caramel, grass, hops and lots of orange juice. Good!

Amber color. Caramel and caramel, some malt and high ending bitterness, quite un-interesting.

A hazy amber beer with a small head. The aroma is maily sweet, but also with notes of alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty with main notes of caramel.
