Bright brown color. It has a nice fruity touch, both aroma and flavor, sweet caramel flavor, strong body, correct bitterness; the alcohol is well hidden; truly Belgian. Interesting.

(On tap) Clear, warm amber golden with an off-white head. Unusual and somewhat unclean fruity nose. Medium body with a heavy carbonation and again these hard to define fruit accents and a whiff of burned caramel. The finish is dry with a subdued bitterness. 130908

(On tap) Clear golden with absolutely no head. Sweetish licorice-like aroma. Quite full-bodied with sweetish fruit and again licorice notes. No bitterness. With the licorice accents this isn’t really your typical Barley wine, but it’s still quite pleasant. 120908

Draught@EBF2008. Ambery golden colour, small head. Aroma is cooked vegetables, soe mild spicyness as well as herbal notes. Flavour is quite the same with some mild caramel popping in. Rather rubbery in the finish. Yet it manages to be quite refreshing.
