450 North Brewing Company is a brewery, tap room and restaurant located on the Simmons’ family farm in beautiful Columbus, IN. Since opening in September 2012, the taproom has become a destination for delicious beer, pizza, and fresh growler fills. Featuring a picturesque rural setting and one-of-a-kind events like the annual Corn Maze Beer Fest, we are the perfect spot for a laid-back day trip. If beer isn’t your thing, our own Simmons Winery and Gnarly Grove hard cider is produced and available on-site. Our beer is distributed in Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee. Pours a murky reddish orange with a small quickly fading head and chunks. Yes, it pours chunky. I assume that’s fruit chunks now floating on top. It smells of citrus and other overripe fruit. The flavor is very sweet with the fruit verging on rotten or perhaps more than verging. The chunks are soft and weird. This is not good. Maybe it’s old and was better fresh but who can tell when the don’t put a date on the can?

Pours mostly opaque red with with a small quickly fading head. It smells of coconut, strawberries, and pineapples. It tastes very sweet and quite like what they are apparently going for, a strawberry piña colada.

Can, from Beer On The Wall, Elmhurst IL. Pours murjy burgundy red with a very small frothy whitish head, sweet berry aroma, high carbonation, mildly sweet blueberry-raspberry flavored semi tart brew with lactose, thick body with particules, like a slushy, long berry finish. Quite like drinking a cocktail.
