Masthead Brewing Company is located in the historic Bryant Building at 1261 Superior Avenue in downtown Cleveland. Our building was originally built in 1921 as an automotive dealership and is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The taproom features 300 seats, a 100’ long bar, and an additional 50 seat dog friendly patio with a view of downtown Cleveland. We’ve become known for our ever evolving lineup of juicy New England IPAs, Neapolitan-style pizza, and our barrel aged beer utilizing exclusively allocated whiskey barrels from top-rated distilleries.

Aromas are a blend of resin, citrus pith, dry grass and cereal. Flavors are similar to nose, with citrus standing out. Just a touch more sweet than bitter with good carbonation. Very drinkable although nothing too new.

16oz can from Tavour. Cloudy golden pour, fizzy head. Light, mellow citrusy aroma, mostly grapefruit. Taste is zesty and boozy, grapefruit, pineapple, lemon. Quite a lingering burn. Starts slow and then gets going

Sample at The Draft Room. This beer pours a dark brown color with some mahogany around the edges, and a thin off-white head that diminishes quickly to an outer ring. Sparse strings of lace. Aroma of dark fruit, yeast, maple and malt. Full-bodied with flavors of earthy yeast, caramel malt, sweet maple and raisin. The finish is fruity with a malt and maple aftertaste. Good Barley Wine all around.

Aromas are a nice blend of grapefruit, resin, dry grain and a bit of onion. Flavors are similar to nose, a bit more sweet than bitter with soft carbonation. Okay body and I think stronger carbonation would have been better. Been done before many times but still very drinkable beer.

Aromas are grapefruit, onion and malt. Flavors are similar to nose, just slightly on the sweet side with perfect habanero. Kind of surprised by this at how well it works. Low key carbonation and round body. Not sure if it would be better with crisper carbonation. But I like it.
