Nitro at the brewery tap. Very dark brown with a velvety khaki head. Some spotted lacing. Light aroma: bit of chocolate, bit of oatmeal, bit of mint. Taste is much nicer, as the delectable mint flavour supports rather than overwhelms the lactic sweetness. Short finish, with some dark chocolate and fresh cooking herbs in the aftertaste. Wasn’t 100% sure it would work, but it does. And how.

Keg at the brewery tap. Dark gold, clear. Small white head with a fair bit of lacing. Mango and orange with some ammonia in the aroma, not surprising considering the hop bill. Mild bitter fruity taste with tropical hop to the fore. The tiniest bit of astringency nearer the finish. A bit one-dimensional, but it is a dimension that I wouldn’t mind being trapped in for a while.
