Next to the this on the shelf I also saw a triple IPA from the same brewery. I decided to pass because I just wondered - what the hell. maybe next time. This one was big enough at 8%. Pretty nice hop nose, mostly citrus, a little resin and a touch floral. Nothing revolutionary in that regard but it was a nice hop profile. Flavor quite similar, nearly bone dry with just a hint at a crackery malt, but heavy on hop flavoring, fairly mild bitterness. Not especially boozy but a pint can of this stuff will make itself known. In general its good but the dryness revealed a serious lack of balance that detracted a tad from the overall experience. Hazy pale yellow gold, opaque, medium head.

On tap. Flat in the glass. Tart fruit smell and yes, the coriander is on the nose. A big sour taste for sure. Umm, really not much after that. could use some other character?

(Draught at En Öl- och Spritmässa, Stockholm, 7 Oct 2023) Black colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, caramel, cinnamon and herbs. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, brown sugar, caramel, cinnamon and a touch of chilli in a finish with a gentle roasty bitterness. Full body, quite sweet. On the sweet side, but spicy and tasty. Very nice.

Draft at Frank's Hoppy Bistro, Fenton, MI. Bright mango smoothie orange body, medium clumping cream head. Aroma mostly stone fruits and melon. Gummy body with fleshy neutral fruits, papaya, pineapple, and rindy bitterness. Nothing sharp or prominent. A good beer but a bit sweet and unbalanced.
