(Bottle 33 cl) Aparently Holsten invented the diet-pils for diabetics - what a pathetic claim to fame... Apparently the secret is to let the brew ferment longer, thereby leaving no residual sugars. The beer is pale golden with a limited head. Expectedly dry without much bitterness. An unusual deal. 021199

(Bottle 33 cl) Pale golden, decent head. It’s really hard to rate this beer as it’s SO bitter, that it pretty much paralyzes my taste-buds - completely. Any flavours are erased by the extreme hoppiness which is sad. 041099

(Bottle 33 cl) Typically pilsener-golden with a very pretty, tall head. Dry with a discreet underlying sweetness and no long finish. Pleasant, moderate hoppiness. 290999

(Bottle 33 cl) The stronger Holsten export-version is a dark golden brew with a fine, dense white head. Nice malt in the nose. Body soft as velvet with the malt being very pronounced also here. Fruity, fresh hoppy finish. An excellent lager indeed. 210899

(Bottle 33 cl) Version for the Danish market at 4,6% ABV. Pale with a pleasant, hoppy nose. Refreshing, but nothing special. 140599

Canned. Yellow colour, decent bubbly head, which disappears almost completely. Malty, hayish aroma. Watery and a bit oily palate. Cooked vegetables in flavour, with bitterish finish. Hayish aftertaste.

Can: Poured a golden color beer with below average head. Aroma is quite weak for a bock and only faint malt can be detected. Taste is very disappointing, kind of like a foul lager. Body is bit thin with some alcohol burn. Total lack of complexity in this beer.

Test vom 7.4.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 6,5,7,3,0,4 - 4,45

An orange beer with a white head. The aroma is sour hoppy and the flavor is sour with notes of straw and youghurt on a dry background.
