Description
It all started with a humble homebrew kit and the drive to make better beer. Tired of the same bland and dated choices everywhere, Air Force friends Eric Wallace and Dick Doore set out to make the kind of beer that excited them; beer they wanted to drink. A hobby quickly became an obsession and it wasn't long before Left Hand Brewing opened for business on January 22, 1994. Left Hand has steadily increased its production, making the Brewers Association’s Top 50 Craft Brewers list in 2012.

On the sweet side for the style, needing a touch more floral and toasted notes to balance out the caramel front. Finishes with a mild bitterness and hints of toasted wheat bread. Decent, if a tad simple.

I’ve not had a Left Hand beer in ages! Left Hand Dry Irish Stout Nitro 4.3% Deep inky black with thin rusty brown foam and an ultra-luscious body plus a full mouthfeel. Light roast malts, a bit nutty and a bit of black licorice. Very smooth and approachable.

Kind of a strange nitro peanut butter stout that wants to but can't quite make it. Nothing exactly works together. The peanut butter seems a little dry, body is a bit too chalky, on the dry side. Meh.

0.473 l can from 'Beer Republic', best before May 2023. Black with a thin, slightly creamy, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, quite roasty aroma of dark chocolate, roasted hazelnut and coffee. Quite sweet, malty, fairly roasty and a little fruity taste of dark chocolate, coffee, roasted hazelnut, some burnt bread crust and light dark fruits, followed by a short, fairly roasty, slightly bitter finish. Thin to medium body, smooth but a bit watery mouthfeel, almost flat. Pleasant Stout, I'm a sucker for those nitro gadgets.

Magus mõru kuiv staut, praktiliselt flät nagu paljud nitro purgikad. ABV kohta on maitset palju. Ok.

Magus, linnaseline, belgia pärm, puuviljane, nats maasikane, tsitrus. Ok, soojenedes tuleb viina maitse juurde...

Bottle at home, aged for a few years. Black with creamy beige head which lasts. Dark chocolate, coffee, nuts. Very creamy body. Still alive, despite the ageing. Nice!
