Description
It all started with a humble homebrew kit and the drive to make better beer. Tired of the same bland and dated choices everywhere, Air Force friends Eric Wallace and Dick Doore set out to make the kind of beer that excited them; beer they wanted to drink. A hobby quickly became an obsession and it wasn't long before Left Hand Brewing opened for business on January 22, 1994. Left Hand has steadily increased its production, making the Brewers Association’s Top 50 Craft Brewers list in 2012.

On tap (nitro) at Blackout Burger Bar. Pours a hazy orange with a thin yet dense head of white foam. Aromas are odd and kind of weak. A bit of non-defined fruit and some grain that almost seems like graham cracker (but that’s has to be my mind playing tricks, right?). Flavor is fruit and cream that isn’t particularly lime-y and not particularly sour. This one is a miss for me.

Pour is a black with a small tan nitro head. Looks all the parts of a Guinness. Aroma is a nice roasted malt and bitter bakers chocolate. Flavor is again a light roast with some more of the bitter bakers chocolate. like most nitro beers I have a little watery on the palate. Other than that it's a spot on Guinness clone.
