Pour is a dark tan with a large white head. Aroma is a nicely toasted malt and maybe even some coffee. Flavor is more toasted malt more coffee bitterness and whole wheat bread left on the tongue. Well don Left Hand. I've had worse vienna's than this.

16 oz. can from Total Wine - Naples, FL. Pours a pitch black color with a tight beige head and excellent retention. Decent nitro action for a can, but short lived. Dark roasted malt aroma. Nice dark roasted flavor too, with a dry finish, as expected. Light body. Super smooth and clean. Soft, creamy mouthfeel from the fine nitro carbonation. Not bitter. Well done.

A black beer, a head is dense, creamy, medium and beige. Aroma has roastiness, chocolate, coffee, lactose. Taste has coffee, lactose, roastiness. Almost medium bodied, smooth and silkyness. Very good.

16oz or close can. Nitro really isn't optimum for a beer like this. Comes off flat and flabby. No real balance or brightness from the lime of other adjuncts. Somehow watery even at 7.3% ABV. Not good at all, quite a disappointment.

12 ounce can from Beer Run, 5/23/23. BLACK IPAS NEED TO COME BACK!!!! Dark brown large tan head, good retention. Aroma of roast, green hops. A bit of dank. Taste is roast, chocolate, pine, green hops. Earthy. Nice.

Draught @ Væskebalancen Bar. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of roast malt, caramel, chocolate, peanuts, peanutbutter. Flavor is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, peanuts and peanut butter. Medium body, average carbonation, light sweet finish. 190523

Can. pours a clear brown color with a small white head that soon dissipates to a fine ring. The aroma is medium in strength with malt grains, caramel and a bit of apple. The taste. like the aroma, features malt grains, caramel and sweet apples. The palate was bit on the thin side. Finished short and sweet. Overall: Decent Vienna lager, but nothing here to thrill me, but to be fair no Vienna lager has ever thrilled me.

Tap @ Væskebalancen Bar, Aarhus. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are rich peanut butter, roast malt, chocolate, caramel, coconuts, hops and has a nice roasty peanut finish.

Black beer, off white head. Smells of toasty malt and a little fruity. Flavour has the malt up front, toasty again and a little sweet. Some chocolate, a dash of coffee and some berries. Rich, and a nice balance of flavours which lasts into the finish.
