5l mini cask from a local supermarket. Clear golden yellow with a large and rocky white head, rather persisitent. Hoppy nose. Medium-bodied with a solid malty background and some nice aromatic hops with a resiny and grassy character. Considering the low price it was much much better than expected.

Pour is a black with a large tan head. Aroma is filled with caramel malts with a nice roasted quality to it. Flavor is some chocolate with a bit of a nutty aftertaste. Leaves a little coffee on the tounge after the swallow. This is a soild schwartz with lots of flavor profile for a German beer

The bottle looks simple, but good. The beer in the glass is not really black, deep brown, small head. Starts really mild, modest roasty-smoky, fine malty. Finish still mild, soft like velvet, very drinkable. Good schwarzbier!
