Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a lacing white head. Aroma of…. not very much, and certainly not mango. Light body, slight maltiness with no real sweetness, just a tired, old oxidized feel. Maybe a TINY touch of mango, or maybe it’s just because the label claims so. No bitterness. 100722

Bottle 70 cl cl. Candi sugar aroma. Hazy amber with a quickly dissipating off-white head. Faint Belgian notes. Rich, sweet sugary body with caramel accents and next to no bitterness. No biggie but way better than its rating here. 090722

33cl from Systembolaget, Uddevalla. Pours almost completely clear golden with a modest, white head. Malty and fruity with notes of caramel and herbs. Sweetish, smooth and mild with a light bitterness.

Backlog January 2016. Almost clear golden, slightly oily body under a small white head. Aroma has malt and herbs. Taste is malty with hint of fruit, yeast and moderate bitterness. Unusually and probably more interesting than god.

Bottle from Lidl, Östersund. This was quite perfect for the second half of a six nations game. It is more of a bitter in my mind than a red ale but blurred lines and all. Lovely colour. Flat. Ending is a blend of English bitter but with a little foreign sparkle to it. Nice offering from Lidl again.
