At the brewery, straight from the tank. Hazy golden, creamy white head. Rustic aroma, with notes of somewhat macerated cereals - not unpleasant though, not much hops. The taste is similar, good cereals, a bit thinnish/watery, fine grassy bitterness. Not your German immaculate Helles, but a pretty decent rustic lager this is.

Draft at Craft Baza 3. Clear deep brown, beige head. Smells of cooking chocolate, light roast - burnt paper flavour, but most of all it smells of water. Same with the taste - light dark astringent/husky cooking chocolate, no lactose, no smooth desert like sweetness, and quite watery. Disappointing.

DEC-2019. BOTTLE 33 CL. 2019 vintage. Hazy golden, white head. The aroma is a beatiful complex mix of white grapes, raisins, Sauvin like hops, tannic fruit / grape skins, certainly some malts - honey and dried fruit sugars, notes of alcohol. Taste: sweet and rich on one hand, juicy, moreish and easy drinking on the other - the raisins and dried apricots are balanced by some fruit skin, light citrus pith, low IBU bitterness and that nice apricot / winey tart note. Rich and savoury, light and airy, and on top of it - with quite a unique flavour profile. Different. Excellent. 4,1/5.
MAY-2018. BOTTLE 75 CL. 2018 vintage. Hazy golden, diminishing white head. Fruity smell upfront - honey like malts and sweet ripe white grapes, citrus pith, light acid winy notes. The taste starts with light acidity that is quickly rounded out by the malts - fine light and airy sweetness - honey, ripe white grapes - subtle grape skin bitterness, maybe a pinch of hops. Hard do get it where's hops and where's grapes - this Sauvignon fragrance kinda blends in so seamlessly. Very fine and balanced - has some acidity - but not heart burn, feels sweetish - yet light and easy-drinking. A pretty unique and well-constructed beer. 3,8/5.

330mL bottle, pours a hazy bright pink with a small pink head. Aroma brings out tart black currant and lacto. Flavour is quite tart, with potent tart back currants, lots of lacto, and tart citrus. Very lacto-y and tart. Very fruity and extremely ascorbic. Decent.

On tap at Taproom 27, pours a cloudy dark amber with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out metallic notes, toasted bread, and light caramel. Flavour is a bit tart, with sour red berries and bready malt. The sourness can't be intentional here. Something seems seriously wrong here.

On tap at Taproom 27, pours a hazy golden with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out lots of fiery smoke upfront, not much else. Flavour is along the same lines, with smoke, bready malt and toasted notes. Nice smokiness to this, with a nice fire pit character. Solid.

On tap at Smokehouse, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out cereal malts, toasted grains and a hint of sweetness. Flavour is pretty bland, with cereal malts, light toasted grains and a hint of breadiness. Not much depth and far from an authentic Vienna. It's okay.
