On tap at Mellow Mushroom Huntsville. Pours brown with a medium frothy, beige head. The aroma is caramel and brown malts, honey, pine and resin hops, and a significant note of bread dough. The flavor is heavy sweetness and bitterness, which balance and play off each other very nicely. The palate is light to medium and smooth, with a clean finish. Overall, nothing special about the components, but a very well assembled and thought out beer.

Tasted from glass at DLD. Poured by a nice lady from Alabama. This is on the sweet, but the honey does not come in too cloying. Pours a light, bubbly brown with a big-bubbled head. Smell doesn’t yield much up besides nice malty flavor. Taste does have some caramel malts, hops for balance instead of bitterness. Honey in the mix keeps away the dry or nutty finish of an English brown ale. Maybe a bit of "sweet tea" was intended? Could have a good shot at becoming a "native" Southern style. And I get to knock Alabama off my list of states!

Courtesy of markwise. It pours deep gold with slight haze and off white head. The aroma is an odd mix of pine, toffee and butterscotch. The taste is sweet with caramel candy, butterscotch, toffee and hints of vague hoppiness. This one appears to have missed the spot with weak hoppiness and diacetyl.
