Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized white head, lacing. Aroma is sweet malts, some caramel and slight earthy hops. Flavour is smooth caramel malts along with some grassy and slightly fruity hints.

Top-fermented beers from Estonia are few ... Good classic Baltic porter outlook: very dark ruby-brown color, good expresso head. Dark toasted malts and alcohol in the nose. Fizzy mouthfeel - a bit too carbonated. Medium to full bodied. Taste is actually quite similar to Estonian Baltic porters or "tume"-beers, this has fuller body than most of them although. Caramelly sweetish, burned sugar flavor, alcohol picks up in the aftertaste, lacks roasty flavors usually present in the stout. I like drinking dark Estonian beers, this one too, but this is not very good example of top-fermented stout - without knowing I could guess this being Baltic porter.

(50 cl bottle brought home from Estonia by a friend) Clear golden color, white head. Malty acidic scent- Grainy malty taste. Spritzy mouthfeel, low bitterness.

Bottle. Copper colour with a beige head. Aroma is roasted, caramel, coffee. Flavour is roasted, coffee, caramel, hop. OK beer.

Bottle, thx Maria. Deep copper, clear, with a nice, dense, beige head. Slightly roasted aroma, with some chocolate, fruits- and coffee-notes. Fruity, sweet, lightly roasted flavor with coffee-hints and some bitterness. It has a medium to full body and finishes slightly dry, with a hoppy note. Quite nice, but I normally prefer real porters. Bottle, thanks Maria. Copper-colored, clear beer with a dense, beige head. Toffee, a bit fruity, and sweetish on the nose. The flavor is malty, a bit roasted and lightly grainy, with a little fruityness, leading to a caramel-ish finish. Medium body. A decent variation from pale beers. (070527)

Bottle. Yet another gift from Maria’s cellar. Thanks! Clear, golden with an off-white head leaving nice lacings. Caramel, malt and some hops in the aroma, but it is too anonymous. The flavor is a bit thin too, with malt, some grain, fruits and bitterness. Medium body, and a little too short finish with fruits and bitterness. A mediocre, quaffable beer. (070527)

Bottle in Tallinn, Estonia. Blackish/Reddish beer with a plainly malty aroma and a malty barley wine like flavour which is generally roasted and sweet. Overall a reasonable mildly strong and malty beer.
