From my brother’s honeymoon in Greece
Amber color. Candi sugar aroma, strong, cheap. Lean body, very small caramel flavor, quite poor, like a common Lager, but less dry and bitter. Bad.

Golden colour with a slight haze. Herbal and spicy aroma but also with some hop notes that conjure mildew. Wet grain? Light malt character. Light bitterness. Spicy hop...a little watery. Typical Greek lager.

Bottle from Greek deli’ on Cowley Rd 26-01-09 I’ve also had this frequently on holiday in Greece. Pours yellow with a white head. aroma is grainy and slight metallic tinge. Taste whilst quite clean isn’t as crisp as on would expect, bit maly quite grainy and really lacking throughout. I recall this tasting better on a balcony in Skopelos, but then that was in the summer a few years back and there was little else to chosse from. A5 A3 F4 P2 OV10 2.3

Bottle, Hotel Kronos, Iraklion, Crete. I suppose this is the Greek Fosters, although it probably isn’t quite that bad. Available seemingly everywhere I turned whilst on holiday, so had to try once. Predictably dull, but not wholly repellent. Stick to the local red wine and raki when in Crete is my advice.

Bottle, 5.0%. Weak fruity aroma. Clear red brown colour. Sweetish flavour, OK breadiness. Hint of fruit, berries.

0.33 l can bought in a market in Tirana, Albania. Nice, a new beercountry. It poured pale yellow body with medium sized head. Weak aroma of some malts...a bit grainy. Sweet malty flavor, not bad, but again very simple and one-dimensional beer. Some hints of corn and boring hops felt. Sweet-sourish aftertaste rounds it. Drinkable, might be refreshing, but a lower average pale lager.

Can courtesy of and shared with heavy who found it in Albania (thanks!) Poured a golden-yellow body with a medium sized thick white head that went away fast. Slightly acidic, cabbagey nose, a bit grainy. Honeyish light sweet taste, some low quality hops, a bit corn, maybe light cabbage again, a bit flowery in a way. All in all not impressive.
