Bottle from BiervanEijk, Frederiksoord. More of a classic IPA with an aroma of grapefruit, malt, some orange, and light pine. Mild sweet and moderate bitter flavour. Body is medium. Okay.

Bottle from BiervanEijk, Frederiksoord. Aroma is roasted malt, whisky, soft peaty and smokey notes, chocolate, oak. Flavour is mild sweet and bitter. Medium body with low carbonation, leaves something to be desired. Leathery/smokey whisky. Unrefined but pleasant.

Bottle from Drankenspeciaalzaak Jelle, Leeuwarden. Mildly smoked with malt, some caramel, light nutty. Nice touch of smoke. Moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Well-balanced Smoked Doppelbock, good!

From tap at BrouwDOK, Harlingen. Softly hopped with citrus, malt, orange, notes of grapefruit and fruit peel. About medium bitter, light sweetish. Not a hop bomb IPA, the kind of 'hoppy ale' you get from more 'traditional' brewers.
