Yet again thanks to Degarth for opening this tasty elixir.

Pours deep deep amber with tan head. I love the aroma. It smells like I just walked into a brewery with dewy sweet malts, yum. Doesn’t smell like a Porter though. The taste has a bready grainy maltiness that is just fresh and delicious. By midway hints of roasted malts show up. It isn’t like any Porter I’ve tried so far.

Bottle: Pale golden, quickly diminishing white head; sweet-fruity (bananas) and wheaty nose with a touch of bubble-gum; quite sweet flavour, light to medium-bodied, a bit fizzy MF; sweet-sourish finish. A decent, but not overwhelming Weizen, a bit too much on the sweet side.........

Bottle: Straw golden coloured, quite stable, lacing white head; impressive resinous, noble-hoppy nose, sorrounded by distinctive sweet-malt; very robust bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied, very long lasting dry hoppy finish. An almost perfect german Pils.......

Re-rate from bottle. Fresher hop notes, spritzy body, yet with a chewy malt body. Dry salty finish, moreish. old rating 5 2 6 2 11 Bottle. Light malt sweetness and citric detergent in the aroma. Pale green golden, foamy head. Very light body, citric hops, crisp and fresh, but somewhat one-dimensional.

Bottle bought in Marennes, France. A very run-of-the-mill pilsner with a bit of hop in the aroma and not much flavour.

Bottle bought in Marennes, France. Pale straw coloured with a middling white head. Fresh aroma of grass and herbs. Flavour was slightly sweet with a decent dry, hoppy finish. This beer conceals its strength well.
