pour pitch black, settles with a small bubbly brown head. close to the darkest head i ever saw.
Aroma has a strong peppery note that I would usually associate with very hot chilies having been added, but none of that is on the label so a bit confusing. well hidden I find salted peanuts, banana, coffee or roasted malts, dark chocolate.
palate and texture is extremely thick, chewwy, thicker than banana smoothie. flavor is good chocolate cake, finer notes of peanuts and coffee and roasted malts. the banana and vanilla is not very easy to spot but does seem to add complexity and perhaps balance.
I never thought i'd think this - but perhaps they managed to find an upper bound as to how thick an imp stout is and i still want it thicker.. this is quite insanely thick.

Bottle at Brewdog Lothian Road. Pours dark brown with a thin tan head. Aromas of chocolate and vanilla. Taste is chocolate biscuit. Light sweet finish.
