From tap at 't Taphuys Utrecht. Grainy with soft grassy noble hops, hay, soft fruity notes with a touch of apple. Bready grains. Light sweet and bitter. Medium body. Nice grainy Kölsch.

Sweeter sticker body. But the bourbon barrel is nice. On top of a base brown that is just okay, perhaps a bit thin. BeerTemple Ams

At first it's pretty good but an intense lingering bitterness kind of messes it up some. The aromas are coffee, roast, cocoa and a hint of molasses. Flavors are like nose, very mildly sweet upfront with growing bitterness that keeps coming on like a freight train. Great label though!

Could have been a lot better but they made it bitter and added some more black patent or molasses or something and and now it's just so so. A pity.

I was told this is hugely popular in the southeast. Well we drink a lot of old fashions up here in Wisconsin and this is just ridiculously heavy with the bitters. Another sip or two and then down the drain. Guess I'm being a little generous with my review.

The aromas are yeast and something dead. Flavors are similar to nose sweet and dead. Oh my god this tastes bad. I'd pour it down my drain but I don't want to contaminate it. I've got another pig pounder barley wine. 😭

Aromas have strawberries and guava coming through with hints of vanilla. Flavors are like nose, strawberry is dominant, nice balance between sweet, tart and carbonation with low bitter. Light to medium body with nice finish. Decent brew.

Can. Deep dark brown color. Hazelnut, milk chocolate and vanilla in the aroma, apple syrup. Malty sweet flavor, Thinnish, sugary, coffee, toffee, vanilla. Just a hint of oak in the finish.

Tap at Brody’s American Taproom, Den Haag. Poured a clear golden colour with a short-lived frothy white head. The aroma is malt, hay, corn, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter, with a crisp, slightly watery, grainy malt, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Refreshing and true to the style.
